Patrick Aere is a Swiss-Costa Rican new media artist based in Munich. He embraces digital tools in his artistic work, and uses live visuals, creative coding and drawings as his main ways to express himself. Topics regarding people’s relationship with technology interest him. He studied Pictorial Design at Universidad de Costa Rica and Art, Media and Informatics at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität in Germany, and participated at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design’s (CIID) Summer School. Since 2015, he works as a senior media designer at *******. He is part of the art collective Fobin.Kollektiv and his work has been shown at galleries and festivals.
