FRAGMENTS
an NFT art collection by Patrick Aere
“Fragments” is an evolving NFT experiment, where color, brushstrokes, comicana, doodles and splashes interact and become the protagonists of the artworks. The intention is to create a body of work that does not have one central subject, such as in the majority of profile picture (PFP) collections in the NFT space, but rather create visual landscapes in which the viewers can wander by themselves and be creatively stimulated. By referencing pop art, retro comics, color field paintings, graffitis and the internet culture, I want to pay homage to the images that inspired me to create, and it is my intention to keep an open dialog with the medium of generative art.
The collection currently consists of 33 digital artworks that live on the Ethereum blockchain. Every piece has a unique color palette, a three-letter name, and consists of fully hand-drawn elements. Three artworks were released on a weekly basis, every Wednesday for eleven weeks in a row, starting April 6th, 2022. For collectors, the artwork serves as access token for future creations and limited edition airdrops.
Some pieces of the collection have been featured in galleries around the world, including Prague and Montreal. Almost one year after the release, in April 2023, one piece will be shown in the worlds most important NFT exhibition: NFT.NYC.

Starting April 6th at 4PM EST, you will be able to mint the NFT on OpenSea using this official link: https://opensea.io/collection/fragments-by-patrick-aere . Every Wednesday at 4 PM EST, three new artworks will be released.

The total supply of the FRAGMENTS collection will be 33. The limited quantity ensures more attention and value for individual collectors.

The cost per artwork will be 0.25 ETH on the primary market.

The artworks are the utility, but they will also serve as access tokens for future creations and limited edition airdrops, such as exclusive previews, sketches and unreleased artworks.

Every piece is a unique digital artwork, created by hand and minted on the Ethereum blockchain. No generative methods have been used for this collection.
Stay tuned: Every piece has the possibility of becoming a fragment of a bigger artwork. In the bigger artwork, the collector will become part of the creative process.
